Tony Drew Bobbitt
Tony began his career in healthcare management in the early nineties and joined one of the first non-hospital group purchasing organizations (GPO) in the country in 1996.
As Vice President of Operations, Tony helped grow the successful privately-owned regional GPO to a point where a merger in 2000 with a larger, national group purchasing organization was vital for continued growth.
In 2005, Tony formed Networx gp, a long-term care focused GPO, that became a dominant Group Purchasing player in the Midwest, expanding into markets around the country.
Tony credits his early and continued success on his strong beliefs of honest, ethical and mutually beneficial relationships with the ultimate outcome being focused on the true end-users in the healthcare industry; the human in need of help.
In 2012, Tony sold his company to a hospital system that had a subsidiary company for Group Purchasing for all class of trade in healthcare. Tony remained part of the subsidiary GPO for about 3 years, assisting in the development of a division focused solely on the extended care markets. In 2016, Tony decided to continue his employment relationship on an affiliate / contractual basis under a newly formed LLC, Provider Effect.
Provider Effect was formed to allow Tony to not only continue his work in group purchasing, but also to pursue a lifelong interest in the Behavorial Health Services industry. A tragic end to a friend’s life and the events that day surrounding his friend’s death further fueled his growing desire to better understand mental health and substance abuse disorders and what was being done to improve the treatment offered and prevention for those in need.
Tony was fortunate enough to be connected to a few individuals that shared his personal commitments and passion to make continued positive impacts in an industry serving the sick and suffering. After more than a year planning, Tony co-founded The Treatment Collective, a service company to provide Group Purchasing, Cost Management and Vending Credentialing Solutions for the Behavioral Health and Substance Treatment Markets.
The Treatment Collective was a collaborative effort with likeminded business partners to be a subsidiary of Sovant Healthcare Systems and is an integral part of the variety of services Tony and his partners at Sovant Healthcare Systems offer for behavioral healthcare providers and addiction treatment centers.
